You need to know how to practice triads on guitar.
The best way is to know an exercise, where you can do a full triad workout for guitar, instead of going through all triads separately.
The benefits of knowing triads on guitar
Knowing & practicing triads on guitar is probably one of the most effective ways to really get a grasp on music.
Due to the complex nature of the guitar as an instrument, it is harder for a guitar player to understand music theory than it is for a piano player.
Therefore, most guitarists shy away form the basics. Triads are one these neglected basics.
But once you know how to play triads, everything else is gonna be less confusing by a factor of 10x or so. Period!
Because then, you can make sense of scales, chord progressions and many other concepts of music theory.
So triads are really worth your practice time.
In the following I’m gonna show you an awesome way to practice triads.
Because there are some many of them, you can easily get lost and you most likely don’t know where to start.
If you are completely new to playing triads on guitar, then you might want to go through one or two triads and learn them all over the fretboard on every group of strings first.
You can do this here, if you want to.
It’s not necessary to do the following exercise but you will get a lot from this and you will understand the anatomy of triads on a deeper level.
Be diligent and have fun practicing!
